Sick

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

Well , whatddaya know? I’m sick!

This throat infection is killing me, and the common cold is trying to get me. Oh well, oh well, today I will tell you how to look-up things faster, and no, it’s not google.

For this, you will need:

1) A browser that has tabs, if you can help it use IE7 because if you want to do a wide search(tabspree), FF is going to eat your poor ram.
2) Patience, music and lots of caffeine

So, how can you make your life easier if you want to learn X or Y thing, easy, just *beep* digg, reddit, del.li.cious it!

Why’s that? they are just sites that receives news, right? But that’s the good thing because it’s not limited, digg has a lot of CSS articles and that have been digg up or buried, reddit is the same, and in del.li.cious you can look-up the tags you are interested.

Designing? Programming? Drawing? Piano Lessons? How to be a monkey for dummies?

You can search these kind of stuffs, and not limited just to those I named above.

Oh and instead of extending my links in the sidebar, I will share them through del.iciou.us

Another boring day

Friday, December 28th, 2007

What a boring day! I’ve been nothing but working on IceBB new skin and listening to music. Right, boring indeed! Well, at least I had the time to work a little on my project Applemint which I’ll be talking in the future when I finish the administration panel.

Download the XCF

Oh don’t take me seriously :P, this was just for fun to kill time.

I really wanted to make it look like there’s more than an “island” but working on these kind of things takes a lot of effort and patience, and more for me when I have no absolute skills in this kind of graphics. Oh well, hope you like it :P

Linux Heaven Drive

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

Wherever I go, there’s a linux user; Wherever I go there’s a feeling inside me, asking me to come back to linux.

It’s been a long time since I last logged into my Ubuntu partition. Oh, how much it amazes me the speed of the forum grow and the volunteers that posts daily. Before Feisty and Gutsy, my computer runs Edgy. Although, to tell the truth what really shocks me is the grow of game developers. I’d expect someone will soon make a game that matches popular games, like Ragnarok Online, Unreal Tournament, World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Halo and so on.

And for the new users, don’t look everything that linux achieves as “complex”. It takes effort to gives you people simple applications to daily use. Just learn and you’ll see how convenient it can be. After all, free has a price, but it’s not money! Its learning, knowledge, wisdom or whatever you want to call it !

Inner Thoughts: Well, if you are a gamer you are doomed to wait for a few years for either game developers to get experience or Wine developers to make your games run in linux. *Pats*

Songza, another masterpiece

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

If it wasn’t for Mutantmonkey introducing me to StumbleUpon I really wouldn’t have discovered this amazing site. You can say Songza is a “web-media player”. The design is simple and slick, just the dream of any user who wants to search “on-the-fly”. You can look up any song title, band without sweat. The only tiny problem I have is that they don’t have a pagination to look for more results, only one. The site is perfect for any user who happens to surf the web all day, just leave the Tab opened, put on your headphones or raise the speakers volume and navigate through the web with your favorite music.

Peer 2 Peer Networks are probably getting dusty already. It’s still alive, but the light is probably faint.

Songza lets you add to songs to your “playlist” and are stored when you leave and come back.

Merry Christmas

Oh man! I failed finding a good picture for this entry :(

Well, to everyone reading this, have a wonderful new year (because I hate this year, it sucks!) and enjoy your new gifts. And if something bad happened, just let it slip and continue forward, don’t let it drag you!

Merry Christmas and hopefully a Happy New Year (who knows if I’m going to be around at that time so just a “beforehand post”)
