[Random] Final Fantasy IV OCRemix

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Front LookUsually I’m very picky about remixes but this group of artists have really captured my interest so much I can’t believe how awesome their release was, of course we can argue that there are some songs that are not to one’s taste but what I can say is that I just love almost all the songs. I’ve been a big fan of Final Fantasy for years, but that has declined as well due to their changes in battle systems. I’m really old school anyway!

Now, my post is obviously random, coming from a blog that has to be about development, then again this is also my personal site so, sorry if you weren’t expecting this :)

Below is a flash player that you can use to listen to full songs. I’m not going to put all of them because of my respect to the OCRemix group who has brought this to us and really, you can download this and seed it on their official site. Just think of it as a demo :)

Flash required

If you want the full album OC Remix has an official site with a torrent and direct downloads. Check it out :)

Cheers :)

My Summer spirit!

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Well, it’s been really quite a peaceful summer, for me college starting date is closing by. I spent my June self-learning and we know being self-taught is one tedious task, there is distraction, motivation running dry faster than when you are with your college mates studying, and while we hang in there, there is also a good amount of random(life) responsibilities which can become quite a blow on your motivation (sometimes!).

As for me, July been about catching up with games and consoles. How productive, right?! It sure feels good to distract your mind, kill some bosses, be snake for a while. And tons of action! That, and books when you are tired of hearing the looping Background Music(BGM).

Anyway, today I started decorating my linux desktop, and as a developer and also a hobbyist AND also a gamer, many people still believe linux is not ready to be a desktop for the general public (as in, people who has no technical background or experience with computers) and while I believe that it is, the other part of my mind says it isn’t. Still long ways to go, Ubuntu has been called a distro for beginners, sometimes I wonder why people start diving linux distros with (beginner(noobs), intermediate, advanced) while Apple and Windows well.. remain what they are, maybe the problem lies in the linux community. I’ll back off for now, it’s a touchy subject anyway which I don’t feel like talking about for now.

Here is my desktop screenshots :) sometimes I feel childish but oh well who cares. I’m a sucker for these things; our hobbies does not define what we are (besides geeks and nerds), in a professional circumstance. Oh well, judging by the looks is just bad. One of these days I will blog about my hobbies :)

The images are much larger, when the image effect starts be sure to click the green light text below :) I still have this Java book to eat… it’s around 900 pages and… while it guides you with baby steps … it just too long! I guess being impatient is one of my flaws :)

As for my summer spirit, I’m in high spirits alright! although my summer hasn’t been that active all I like is peaceful days anyways, hey I’m just a easygoing guy :P although somewhat a controlfreak sometimes.

Cheers! Till next time :)
