I gotta say, kuddos to StumbleUpon team! I love su.pr more than bit.ly and it’s not because just a letter difference but the options it provides. Statistics, option to submit messages with shortened URLs in twitter or facebook.
What can I say? They also have a scheduling feature. But the greatest one is to make your domain shorten URL too. (E.x http://routecafe.com/Zidauj ) and keep track of who clicks or not. Which is great because knowing that gets you a glimpse of what the users are interested.
I’ve been playing with it and it’s really “real-time” statistics instead of “it’s all cached so wait 24-hours to see the results” I don’t know how long its going to be real-time because it might change once thousands of users start using the service, perhaps.
Now not everything must be submitted using their site. StumbleUpon provides an API for su.pr and a very robust one. So if you build a little application for this API to convert URLs even faster that’d be great, for me I just use a button in FireFox so it provides some sort of frame and gives me the option to post the URL.
